Top Lesbian Movies and Shows to Watch On Hulu

[sc name=”inpostblogtop”]

With streamers constantly rotating out their library, it can be challenging for a lesbian to know what’s the best gay stuff to watch. Luckily for us, this also means that amazing new lesbian content is continually being updated.

That’s exactly the case with Hulu, which quietly snuck in some seriously delicious, fun, action-packed, and dramatic (always dramatic) lesbian movies and TV shows.

Here are our top picks of lesbian content to watch on Hulu right now.

The Real L Word

If you’re as hooked on juicy reality TV as we are, you need to tune into The Real L Word. Produced by none other than the fabulous Illene Chaiken, The Real L Word follows the daily lives of several lesbian women in Los Angeles. And guys: it is dramatic.

While you need to add on the Showtime feature, we promise the drama will be worth every penny.

Booksmart

I’m sure all y’all have seen one of the greatest comedies to have come out in the past five years, but if you haven’t, let me fill you in.

This clever, unique comedy features an authentic lesbian character who is extremely sweet, genuine, and smart. If you want to watch a movie with a happy lesbian that just warms your heart, watch Booksmart.

Bound

If you’re in the mood for a gritty, noir, action-packed action movie, Bound may be the fit for you. Driving the story are two lesbians trying to pull one over the mob. Written and directed by the Wachowski sisters, this is a seriously steamy, seriously fun action-thriller. And, it even has a happy ending.

But be warned, Bound is a highly violent movie, and as the main characters fool the mob, sometimes that violence is pointed at the lesbians.

Reaching For The Moon

A fascinating portrayal of lesbian poet Elizabeth Bishop and her long-term partner Lota de Macedo Soares, this Brazilian-made bio-drama won the hearts of lesbians worldwide and it’s easy to see why. It’s passionate, authentic, and portrays a fascinating, dynamic relationship.

Beware, if you’re looking for something uplifting, you may want to steer clear of this one as it has a bit of a bummer ending. Since the ending involves mental illness and an overdose, some may find the ending triggering.
